First Choice Liquor Flemington

Our first project for Coles Group’s First Choice Liquor brand was situated in Flemington, home of the Melbourne Cup Carnival and the race that stops the nation yearly. Project Lead Nigel De Silva worked hand-in-glove with architects BRD Group and Coles to nail the brief.

“There was a full vinyl wrap of the internal store required for the build, which had to be coordinated with the painters who wanted to crack on with prepping the walls,” Nigel says of one of the challenges overcome.

He also had to wrangle the build while the store was still open, which necessitated a delicate balance out front. “We had to paint and install new signage outside and there is only one entrance to the liquor store, with customers coming through regularly,” Nigel recalls. “We set up travel management, hoarding and fencing to ensure that we could operate equipment safely, looking out for the public while the First Choice team did their thing.”
