Project details

As one of the key projects STAARK tackled shortly after emerging from rolling lockdowns, the refresh at the Coles supermarket site in the heart of Cairnlea was overseen by dedicated Project Lead Nigel De Silva, who rolled up his sleeves to tackle this night shift build.

“While it was one of our smaller projects for Coles, it came with a unique challenge,” Nigel says. “On request, we coordinated a structural overhaul of the deli counter, including all the floors and walls, while the employees were still serving customers with a bit of nifty sectioning off. It worked a treat.”

Scope of works

Full internal repaint.
Close down of Deli and rebuild to self-serve Deli with new partitions walls, vinyl flooring and signage.
Vinyl floor replacement.
New Lighting and Power.
New Click and Collect area with Service Desk, Remax Doors and Epoxy flooring.
New Flat Bread machine, Chicken Warmer, Mochi Fridge and Nuts Joinery units.
New Digital Screens and Crash Rails.
New Customer Service Desk and Front End Registers.
Coordination of all Coles direct contractors works including Refrigeration, Internal and External signage, Shop fitting, Data Electricians, Security and IT.
