Project details

Just inland from the Ferguson Street Pier in Melbourne’s beautiful bayside suburb of Williamstown, otherwise known as the spiritual home of the city’s best fish and chips, this Coles supermarket build had to be achieved during lockdown.

“The biggest obstacle we had to overcome was a limitation of numbers of tradespeople we could have on-site at any one time,” Project Lead Nigel De Silva says. “We usually muster a big contingent of people on major works like this, but that wasn’t an option in this case, where we could only have five people, including myself, when we’d often have up to 20 on a job like this.”

But STAARK never lets a challenge get the best of us, nor does Nigel. “Everyone was alternating to try to get their work done within five weeks, and you better believe we got the job done down to a tee.”

New internal signage.
Vinyl floor replacement.
New Lighting and Power.
New Click and Collect Service Desk.
New Flat Bread machine, Orange Juice Machine, Dishwasher, Chicken Warmer and Mochi Fridge.
New Digital Screens and Crash Rails.
Coordination of all Coles direct contractors works including Refrigeration, Internal and External signage, Shop fitting, Data Electricians, Security and IT.
