Timing is everything, so when STAARK was tasked with renewing one of Coles’ retail outposts in Cardinia Lakes, Pakenham, co-founder Oscar Kus embraced the season.

“It was just after Easter, one of the busiest periods of the year for the leading supermarket chain, thanks to Australians’ insatiable hunger for hot cross buns,” Oscar says. “But despite this, we were able to work around busy shelf stackers and coordinate everyone from the bakery equipment installers to the IT gurus and bring it all together on time.”

Despite a heads up before the project began that STAARK’S site manager might need to deploy free movie tickets to keep the local residents happy, given how close many homes are to what was a significant building project, there wasn’t a single complaint in the end. “That’s down to our above and beyond team’s due diligence in keeping noise to a minimum whilst we worked overnight,” Oscar adds.
