Project details

Founded in 1914 by George Coles, the supermarket giant initially opened in the heart of Melbourne’s inner north, in the then working-class suburb of Collingwood.

Coles has, of course, spread out across Australia since, and STAARK has had the incredible opportunity of accompanying the iconic brand as it refreshes many of its key destinations to bring them into line with today’s industry-best design standards.

Project Lead Nigel De Silva stewarded the update of this store next to the open, green space of Bridges Reserve, slightly further north of Collingwood in Coburg. “It’s a pleasure to work with a company that’s not only respected nationwide, but that we’ve been lucky enough to forge an ongoing relationship with,” Nigel says.

Full repaint internal and external.
Vinyl floor replacement.
Close down of Deli and rebuild to self-serve Deli with new partitions walls, vinyl flooring and signage.
Asbestos Management throughout.
New Lighting and Power.
New Customer Service Desk and Front End Registers.
New Digital Screens and Crash Rails.
New Kitchenette, Flat Bread and Donut Machine.
Coordination of all Coles direct contractors works including Refrigeration, Internal and External signage, Shop fitting, Data Electricians, Security and IT.
