Bakers Delight Carnegie

Founded by Roger and Lesley Gillespie alongside their best mate, Gary Stephenson, Bakers Delight has been a fresh and inviting touchstone for Melbourne’s communities since its first outlet opened in Hawthorn in 1980.

Some 40 years later, STAARK is proud to regularly join forces with what is still a family-run business, now shepherded by Roger and Lesley’s daughter Elise and her husband David Christie, creating new outposts for the baked goods empire.

Located in Melbourne’s south-eastern corner, this Bakers Delight outlet in Carnegie was overseen by STAARK co-founder Dominik Kubic, working hand-in-hand with proud design firm Sandbox. “Just like the bakers who get up at the crack of dawn, there’s no snoozing on a project like this,” Dominik says. “We delivered within ten days flat.”
